We’ve had some interesting feedback from our “Tortured Love” concert with visuals last night:

“I really enjoyed your concert last night! I liked the way the visuals engaged with Tolstoy’s belief that music is dangerous because it has the capacity to evoke certain kinds of emotional responses. Seeing the music visually manifested as the story was a really interesting response to that.” RJ

“Music is the definitive abstract artform, perfectly abstracted even when programmatic, which means as far as I understand it that it can work unmediated on listeners’ emotions, intellect, and visual imagination. To mediated it, as tonight, with someone else’s imagery destroys whatever potential it has to be effective” MZ
If you were at the Queen’s Hall last night we’d love to hear your views.  Tweet @EdinQuartet or post on our Facebook page or email info@edinburghquartet.com
