Variations still has space for one more ensemble to join this year’s summer school at the Macphail Centre (Ullapool, 1-8 August). They are actively encouraging the participation of less confident players, or people new to chamber music, to give them an opportunity to play and learn with others of a similar level in a supportive and fun environment. Tutors on the course are members of the Edinburgh Quartet, joined by Philip Burrin(violin) Maximiliano Martin (clarinet) and Juliette Bausor (flute). The week will comprise tutored sessions, informal concerts and sessions, and workshops.
This invitation is open to string and wind players who need only be able to sight read and play their instrument to an elementary level. The focus will be on enjoyment and learning, rather than performance.
Anyone interested should contact Variations by emailing email@example.com as soon as possible. Further details of the event are on website www.variationsscotland.co.uk
