Terms and conditions for online sales
Please read these conditions carefully before using the edinburghquartet.com website. By using the edinburghquartet.com website, you signify your agreement to be bound by these conditions.
1. Items offered for sale on the Edinburgh Quartet online shop (located at http://www.edinburghquartet.com) are sold and despatched by the Edinburgh Quartet directly unless otherwise stated. Exceptions to this are clearly indicated. The following terms and conditions apply only to those items sold and despatched directly by the Edinburgh Quartet.
2. Payments for goods are handled through PayPal, an external online payment company. PayPal is therefore responsible for the security of customers' credit and debit card information, not the Edinburgh Quartet.
3. A postage and packing charge of £1.50 (GBP) is added to each order.
4. Once payment is received by the Edinburgh Quartet, goods are despatched by first class mail (for UK orders) and by airmail (for overseas orders) within five days of receipt of payment notification by the Edinburgh Quartet from PayPal.
5. If the Edinburgh Quartet has insufficient stock to deliver the goods ordered, The Edinburgh Quartet will notify the purchaser as soon as possible (by email at the address given in the order form), and any sum debited by PayPal from the purchaser's credit card will be re-credited to the purchaser's account. The refund will be made as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of the purchaser's order. The Edinburgh Quartet will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
6. In the unlikely event that the goods arrive with the purchaser in a damaged or faulty condition, the purchaser should return the goods to the Edinburgh Quartet by mail, enclosing a note indicating the nature of the fault. The Edinburgh Quartet will dispatch a replacement for the faulty or damaged item within five days of receipt of same. However, the Edinburgh Quartet will not be liable for postage costs incurred by the customer in returning the damaged or faulty item, unless the fault is due to gross negligence on the part of the Edinburgh Quartet.
7. The purchaser has the right to cancel the contract by giving the Edinburgh Quartet written notice (e.g. by email) at any time during the 'cooling off period' which finishes 7 working days after the day of receipt of the goods. If the purchaser cancels the contract after the goods have been sent and received they must return the goods to the seller at their own expense and in saleable condition.
8. The postal address for all correspondence in relation to online sales, including returns, is: The Edinburgh Quartet, 119 Craigleith Road, Edinburgh, Scotland, EH4 2EH. The email address is info@edinburghquartet.com. The number for telephone enquiries is +44 (0)7932 596533.
9. The sales contract comes into force when the Edinburgh Quartet receives payment notification from PayPal in respect of the sale. The contract is subject to Scots law.
10. We reserve the right to make changes to our website, policies, and these 'Terms and Conditions' at any time. The purchaser will be subject to the policies and Terms and Conditions in force at the time that the purchaser order goods from us, unless any change to those policies or these conditions is required to be made by law or government authority (in which case it will apply to orders previously placed). If any of these conditions is deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that condition will be deemed severable and the enforceability of any other part of these conditions will not be affected.
11. In this context "the Edinburgh Quartet" means Tristan Gurney, Philip Burrin, Michael Beeston and Mark Bailey.
