Scotland's String Quartet
The Edinburgh Quartet will be visiting the Isle of Mull as part of their tour of a new commission by up and coming, but already critically acclaimed, composer Peter Longworth. The piece is designed for a combination of music/spoken word, and is unique in that it will react to each local community’s sense of place through new texts being written in each location, led by author Ron Butlin.
Join the Edinburgh Quartet for a free lunchtime recital as part of Edinburgh University’s ‘Concerts at the University’ series.

Performances will feature texts written by school students from the Scottish Isles, exploring island life and sense of place.
